Rancid meat, maggot-infested mash potato and slimy reptiles are as nothing when compared to what is being dished out in Malaysian Politics.
Our boys regularly take huge cuts of rancid meat that is kickbacks from Government contracts.
They religiously feed the maggot of abuse of power which will return to eat them alive when they give up office. And they should remember that everyone has to leave sometime.
The boys in Barisan blue lovingly stroke the snake of public opinion with half truths, not remembering how it can sink its venomous fangs into their shanks every time they run for office.
Yet without fear of retribution they continue to do as they please, ignoring that every mistake that is not paid back in cash is held in credit behind a swelling dam of public resentment.
Any first year hydro-engineer can tell you that you cannto stop water, it will find its way arond any obstacles, that is why dams have sluice gates and overflow tower. Most developed countries understand that theri politicians are also crooked and take as much in bribes and kickbacks as they can (In the US they call it Halliburtonisation of public spending) so they allow freedom of speech adn encourage a certain level of dissent because it is the all important sluice gate and overflow tower that keeps the straining dam from cracking and bursting.
Our boys are not even smart enough to know this, they run after every dissenting voice and prevent the masses from enjoying vicarious venting of their own dissatisfaction adn this is creating a large pressure head that may become unmanageable very soon.
The good thing about large clamities and a dam collapse is certainly a sizeable discomfort is that it creates a fresh landscape and it is certainly my hope that the present Government should continue with their oppressive ways and maybe even tighten the screws further just to make sure that the population well and truly hate them.
From the mud-caked ladnscape of post dam collapse we hope will rise real choices, a credible two-party system, both straddling the centre and offering similar forms of government tempered by slight variations in philospony, so slight in fact that they should appear tobe almost identical.
With two parties no one should enjoy two-thirds majority that corrupts absolutely. With slim majorities, each will make sure that they come up with real ideas to stay in power....then politics should not be so scary anymore that even you and me might dare to enter it.
